Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

This website, lumahouse.co.uk, is run by Luma House Group Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales, trading as Luma House and Thai Food Made Easy ("Luma House", "we", "us"). We are the data controller for the personal information described in this policy.

If you have any questions about this policy or your information, email us at hello@lumahouse.co.uk.

2. What we collect

Information	When we collect it
Name, email address and the content of your message	When you email us or enquire about workshops, events, recipe development, partnerships, speaking or consultancy
Email address	When you sign up to our newsletter
Booking details (such as names of attendees, dietary requirements and allergies you choose to tell us about)	When you book a workshop or experience, so we can run it safely
Website usage data (pages visited, device and browser type, approximate location)	Through cookies and Google Analytics — see our Cookie Policy

3. How we use it, and our lawful basis

• Replying to enquiries and running bookings — to take steps at your request before entering into a contract, and to perform that contract.
• Sending our newsletter — based on your consent. Every email includes an unsubscribe link, and you can withdraw consent at any time.
• Dietary and allergy information — used only to prepare food safely for you, with your explicit consent, and deleted once it is no longer needed.
• Understanding how our website is used — based on your consent to analytics cookies.
• Keeping business and accounting records — to meet our legal obligations.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for automated decision-making.

4. Who we share it with

We only share information with trusted service providers who help us run the business, such as our email and website hosting providers and Google (for analytics). They may only use it to provide their service to us. Where a provider stores data outside the UK, we make sure appropriate safeguards are in place, such as UK-approved contract terms.

5. How long we keep it

• Enquiries: up to 2 years after our last contact, unless they lead to a booking.
• Booking and financial records: up to 6 years, as required for tax purposes.
• Newsletter: until you unsubscribe.
• Dietary and allergy details: deleted after the event they were collected for.

6. Your rights

Under UK data protection law you have the right to ask for a copy of your information, to have it corrected or deleted, to restrict or object to how we use it, to have it transferred to you or another organisation, and to withdraw consent at any time. To use any of these rights, email hello@lumahouse.co.uk. We will reply within one month.

If you are unhappy with how we handle your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk — though we'd appreciate the chance to put things right first.

7. Luma AI Friend

Our AI companion app, Luma AI Friend, has its own privacy policy, which applies when you use that service.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version will always be on this page, with the date it was last updated.
